?Weather the Storm' of the recession

Business Link is hosting a series of free breakfast seminars to help North East businesses equip themselves to meet the challenges of the recession.

From negotiating with the bank manager to budgeting, managing cash flow and legal advice, the seminars aim to offer help from a range of industry experts.

Following an introductory speech from One North East’s chief executive Alan Clarke and Business Link’s chief executive Alastair MacColl, businesses will have the opportunity to attend three workshops that cover:

  • Making your business attractive
  • Legal advice/employment law
  • Managing cash flow

Chris Simpson, account manager from Business Link, said: “These events are designed to help businesses in the North East through the tough times they are facing now and prepare them for the future.

“Business Link is committed to offering practical advice and support to businesses in the region and now is when they need it most.

“The seminars have been designed to help provide practical advice to the issues which businesses are currently facing during these increasingly uncertain times. There will also be industry experts on hand to answer any questions which businesses may have.”

The events will run from 7.45am to 10.30am at the following locations:

  • Friday 13 February 2009 - Newcastle Marriott MetroCentre, Gateshead
  • Thursday 19 February 2009 - Wynyard Rooms, Billingham
  • Friday 20 February 2009 - Longhirst Hall, Morpeth
  • Tuesday 24 February 2009 - Radisson SAS Hotel Durham
