Deloitte calls for entrepreneurs to share their views

Business advisory firm Deloitte is calling for North East entrepreneurs to take part in its annual survey of the UK start-up scene.

‘Entrepreneurship UK: 2009’ aims to provide an insight into the mindset of the country’s entrepreneurial business talent and the challenges and opportunities facing today’s fast paced businesses.

David Wilkinson, entrepreneurial business partner at Deloitte in Newcastle, said: “Entrepreneurs have a voracious appetite for growth, a passion for success and are naturally very positive about their businesses. In fact, the results of last year’s survey revealed that entrepreneurs were bullish about their future with 45% predicting revenue growth in excess of 20% during 2008.

“However, the past 12 months have been extremely challenging for business and we are interested to gauge how businesses in the North East are responding.”

The results, which will be analysed by Deloitte, entrepreneur James Caan and the London Business School, will be published early in the summer. Each entrepreneur participating in the survey will receive a copy of the ‘Entrepreneurship UK: 2009’ report.

All responses will be analysed on an anonymous basis and will not be shared with any third parties and the data will not be used for any other purposes outside of the production of the report.
