Infoserve launches SME project
ONLINE business search and directory company Infoserve has entered a joint venture with IIiffe News and Media to create a new service for SMEs.
The Leeds-based firm, which employs over 100 people at its Darlington office, will form a joint-venture called 2i Local.
It will offer SMEs the chance to buy a combined internet and print advertising package.
It will give businesses guaranteed exposure to their target market through online local search and newspaper coverage.
Iliffe News and Media is the media arm of Yattendon Investment Trust, which has interests in the newspaper publishing industry and television.
Iliffe News and Media chief executive David Fordham said: “We have the experience of providing local businesses with tailored and innovative print solutions, whereas Infoserve can help them to be found quickly and easily when people search for them on the web.
“We will now be discussing the concept with newspaper publishers across the UK and offering them a turnkey solution to reinvigorate and substantially leverage their trades and business advertising sections.”
