Business advisory firm Deloitte has appointed three new directors at its office in Newcastle.

David Taylor, Tom Vallance and Jane Taylor have spent several years working at Deloitte’s North East office. All three have now been promoted to director level.

Commenting on his promotion, David said: “I have been an employee at Deloitte for over nine years and am delighted to have been offered the position of director. My new responsibilities will include growing the private sector practice in particular with regards to entrepreneurial business.”

Tom Vallance initially joined Deloitte in London in September 2000. After taking on a number of other roles outside Deloitte, he rejoined the company in June 2006 at the Newcastle practice. Tom now becomes a Director with specific responsibility for tax.

Tom said: “As in previous years, the tax department is continuing to grow strongly despite challenging markets, posting double digit growth in the past year.

“This success allows the tax practice to continue investing in people, and this investment is ultimately what underpins our ability to continue delivering successful outcomes for our clients.”

Jane Taylor takes on the role of for Public Sector Audit and Advisory Director, having worked with Deloitte’s public sector clients since 1998. Currently Jane is leading on a range of cost effectiveness and value for money reviews.

Commenting, Jane said: “Our public Sector team has experienced 100% revenue growth in the last two years which has enabled us to rapidly grow our team and to continue to invest.

This continued investment in the development of the team allows for ongoing liaison with clients and the tailoring of focussed work in response to their specific needs.“

Paul Williamson, senior partner at Deloitte in Newcastle added: “These three promotions recognise the hard work and dedication shown by David, Tom and Jane, over many years.

“They will focus on departmental growth across several markets and allow us to deliver yet more success for new and existing clients.
