A REGIONAL Fair-trade food manufacturing company is helping developing countries improve their export potential.
Sunderland based Fullwell Mill Ltd has been working with raisin farmers in Afghanistan for the past few years, which has led to certification of the countries’ first fair-trade product.
In order to help the firm implement a more efficient production process and help improve the company’s overall productivity.
Business Link Adviser, Wendy Haswell said: “Their results have been superb in reaching new customers of their own whilst still supporting the export of developing countries.
“The entire company has show flexibility and social awareness at the heart of their operations whilst remaining commercially focused. Their culture of continued improvement is perfectly reflected in their success.”
