North East firms should build more business abroad

A SERIES of seminars are to be held across the region to encourage North East firms to build more business abroad.

UK Trade & Investment will host the series of Advanced Export Seminars to offer those already involved in international trade a chance to work with an experienced facilitator and fellow exporters.

The interactive events will cover a range of topics including getting your market priorities right; approaches to performance improvement in existing markets and improving entry into new markets.

David Coppock, UK Trade & Investment’s International Trade Director, explained: “International trade continues to play a vital part in the region’s economy and we’re committed to supporting North East companies in winning new business overseas.”

It is hoped that by the end of the seminar delegates will have a set of new ideas, clear objectives and actions to move their overseas business forward successfully.

David Coppock, added: “The benefits of exporting have been proven time and again and these seminars offer an ideal opportunity to take time out of the day-to-day work to really focus on what you want to achieve overseas.”

The first of the ten Advanced Export Seminars will be held on Monday 6 December at The Marriot Hotel, Gosforth Park, Newcastle, 9am-5pm.
