Music to the industry’s ears

A new music studio and urban music training programme has been launched to help young North East musicians build careers in the music industry.

Aspiring young DJ’s, producers, rappers and vocalists are being encouraged to sign up to a range of courses offered though Generator’s Urban Music Training programme, which will be run from the new studio at Hoults Yard, Newcastle.

Equipped with the very latest in industry standard software and hardware, the studio provides the perfect space from which North East artists can create, record and perform new material.

Jim Mawdsley, chief executive at Generator, said: “The studio represents a real investment in the future of North East music talent.

“Through the studio and our UMT programme we are able to help young people and aspiring musicians and producers to develop their music and artistic skills. It is all about aiding the professional development of young musical talent.”
