North East firm’s expansion plan brewing with new beer line cleaning system
A Wearside based firm is planning to increase exports and hopes to create up to 12 jobs in the process after launching its latest system to clean pub beer lines.
Phoenix ABC, which has a manufacturing site in Hendon, hopes to strengthen the business with its latest system, which has been improved to help landlords and restaurant owners save even more time and money, while reducing waste.
The firm provides cleaning systems in the pub trade, with its units being used in virtually every JD Wetherspoon pub in the UK.
Managing director Rodney Marcus, said: “By being able to sell beer that would otherwise be wasted and reducing long manual labour, it helps a publican keep more profit, and is also better for the environment by cutting waste.
“We consider the latest LX10 to be the best we’ve ever produced, offering customers a genuine piece of equipment that will save hours of manual time and labour costs.”
Compared to the traditional manual method of cleaning lines, which would take hours and result in the loss of beer, the Phoenix ABC system thoroughly cleans lines in 30-40 minutes and wastes no beer.
The new LX10 model was unveiled recently and Mr Marcus hopes that it will help drive new business and increase exports of the system, which is already used overseas in places such as Gibraltar.
Mark Walker, of The Masons Arms in Blyth, who helped Phoenix ABC in trials, gave the system the thumbs up.
He said: “I have been very impressed with the system overall. I had several areas that I needed convincing with to begin with but I now have full confidence in the equipment.
“It has increased the amount of beer saved and it is so easy to use. It saves me around four to five hours a week, which is a big plus for me.”
