JAK enjoys record sales
A publishing company has created new jobs and set out plans for expansion on the back of a bumper year which saw its sales surge by 51%.
JAK Print and Design, based in Chester-le-Street and Darlington, has taken on four new employees to handle what promises to be a busy year ahead after enjoying its most profitable 12 months since its inception in 2005.
The company, which produces magazines and sales material, has appointed Samantha South as an accounts clerk, Hannah Jones and Steven Hobson as customer services apprentices and Julie Taylor as a web administrator.
JAK currently publishes a range of magazines, including North East lifestyle titles Fifty Five Plus, In & Around and Schools Out.
The firm saw its sales increase by 51% in the year ending 31 March, 2011.
JAK has continued to grow a portfolio of clients, including the likes of Toni & Guy, Colebrook and Burgess and House of Fraser.
