Sage enjoys strong half-year
Software group Sage saw underlying pre-tax profit climb by 4% to £183.5m in the half-year to end-March, the Newcastle firm said this morning.
The company reported a strong operating cash flow of £233.6m (H1 2010: £236.6m), with net debt reducing to £106.0m at 31st March 2011 (30th September 2010: £219.8m).
The group enjoyed 4% organic revenue growth with Europe up 5% and North America up 1%.There was 4% organic growth in software and software-related services revenues (8% organic contraction in H1 2010).
CEO Guy Berruyer said: ’We delivered good revenue growth and strong cash flows in the first half. I am pleased that our North American business has returned to growth in the period.“
