Hostel group wants to expand
A rapidly growing budget accommodation chain has unveiled plans for expansion throughout the region and UK having already created 30 new jobs in the North East.
A buoyant market allowed Euro Hostel to open its doors in Newcastle last month and is set to host a string of corporate events and conferences in the city.
William McClelland, managing director of the Euro Hostel Group, said: “Euro Hostel Newcastle has now launched as a real evolution of the brand and the city was chosen as the next destination because it had obvious similarities with the other cities.
“It has a sizable local population, low cost travel links and a cultural offering. What’s more, we knew we could bring something different on the accommodation front at an affordable price.
“We’re also looking to other major UK and European cities to see what opportunities they afford.”
Euro Hostel Newcastle is part of the Euro Hostel chain, which includes a flagship hostel in Glasgow and a seasonal offering in Edinburgh.
The launch of the new hostel is said to be the latest step in the organisation’s expansion plans.
Euro Hostel provides budget accommodation for business travelers and holiday makers.
