Miller wins major management deal

Housebuilder Miller Homes has announced that it has been awarded the management contract for ten new residential developments across the UK with a combined value of £100m.

The developments, previously under the ownership of Ludgate Hill developments Limited, part of McInerney Holdings, are located across the North East, North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands and will be fully re-branded and integrated into Miller Homes’ portfolio over the coming weeks.

This acquisition will see the North East region take on four new developments and builds on what has so far proved a successful year for the housebuilder, which was voted ‘Private Developer of the Year’ by the readers of First Time Buyer magazine.

newcastle-based Miller Homes also won management contracts worth a combined value of £120m in 2010.

Miller Homes operations director Chris Endsor said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the McInerney Homes contract after a competitive bidding process.

“The acquisition allows us to build on our portfolio of existing developments as we further enhance our proven track record of successful management and development. It also helps increase our profile locally and enables us to provide high quality homes for customers in the North East.”

Included within the new additions in the North East are Beaumont Court in Pegswood near Morpeth and Whitton View in Rothbury, which are now open. Also, Wyedale in Walker and Bishop’s Park in Gateshead, are set to open later in the year.
