Modus expansion plans to create jobs
A Darlington-based Subsea trenching and construction contractor firm has targeted a turnover of more than £10m, and is aiming create scores of jobs in the process.
Modus which currently employs 26 staff is hoping to support its expanding activities in the offshore windfarm, oil and gas and telecommunications sectors.
After moving to new offices the firm is aiming to continue its growth with a 35% rise in turnover in the coming year.
Managing director Jake Tompkins said: “The first three years of business have seen steady growth, which we aim to extend in 20011/12 from our new headquarters in Beaumont House. The new office will allow us to expand.”
“We are proud to be able to continue our growth in the North East, where our roots are firmly set and in which our past and present investment has been almost 100% focused, through staff, accommodation, supply chain and our products and services.”
The firm which was established in 2008 has moved into the newly-refurbished Beaumont House, from its previous base on Carmel Road, Darlington.
