Non-exec director appointment for local pharmaceutical business
A pharmaceutical company in Northumberland is the latest company in the region to recruit a non-executive director to support its strategic development.
Adam Sims will join the board at SCM Pharma, and due to his extensive experience in commercial and financial roles at Aesica, he will bring with him a wealth of knowledge to help the company’s growth.
His appointment comes in the wake of a positive period for the company, after the commencement of new projects and ongoing recruitment.
Mr Sims said: “After visiting its sterile manufacturing facility, it is certainly the finest contract manufacturing site I have ever come across and provides a solid foundation for a fantastic business.
“I am looking forward to supporting the executive team with my industry contacts, experience and knowledge to help ensure it continues to maintain its high profile, thrive as an independent business and achieve its commercial objectives.”
SCM Pharma specialises in production services for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies. The business has recently also won important commercial projects for oncology products and clinical trial supplies.
Dianne Sharp, managing director at SCM Pharma said: “We are delighted to have Adam on board as he brings a great deal of expertise and market expertise that will hugely benefit our organisation.”
