New care home for Newcastle
Construction work on a new care home in Jesmond is set to begin in 2012 after the sale of a plot of land in the area.
Helen McArdle Care has purchased the 1.3-acre plot on Osborne Road, which used to house the NHS Trust Nuffield hospital. The old buildings will now be demolished and replaced with a new high-spec care home.
Mark McArdle, managing director of Helen McArdle Care said: “We are delighted to acquire land in such a prestigious location.
“We have been looking for the right sire in Jesmond for quite a while now and this is exactly what we have been looking for
HML Group and Bradley Hall chartered surveyors assisted the family run business with the development, which will add to the companies portfolio of care homes across the North East.
Neil Hart, director at Bradley Hall said: “We recently assisted North East care home provider Helen McArdle to purchase a site in Jesmond for development.
“This is an excellent location in a residential area but also near to the city-centre.”
