Regal appointment for local business
This afternoon one local business has a very special appointment with the Queen, in recognition of its achievements in the export industry.
Tiger Filtration is one of a number of businesses from across the country attending the event to recognise the winners of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2011, an accolade the business was presented with on Tuesday.
Managing Director Bob Thompson said: “Tiger Filtration has developed an enviable reputation in a worldwide market but this has only been achieved by hard work, commitment and enthusiasm from all members of staff.”
The business was only established in 2004, but has witnessed significant growth over this period. Over the last three years sales growth has increased 50 percent year on year.
“It was a great opportunity to welcome the Vice Lord-Lieutenant to our factory and show him around the manufacturing facility when we were presented with our award earlier this week, and of course it is a huge honour to have the chance to visit Buckingham Palace and meet Her Majesty today.”
Tiger Filtration specialises in filter elements for in-line filtration, vacuum pumps and compressors.
