Media training and consultancy for Creative Partnerships
We have just completed a programme of training and development at Churchill Community College, for Creative Partnerships. Our brief was to engage the students with the history of their local area and disseminate it in the guise of a short documentary style film. We provided training in the specialist areas needed, for example editing, filming and script writing to allow the teachers and students to gain confidence in producing such an item.
The project not only empowered the children but it opened up the rich history of the Wallsend area to a young generation. Both past and present influential topics were covered, and with guidance the students were able to produce a concise multi-media film which encompassed script writing, filming, editing, poetry and photographs. The film was screened at the Playhouse in Whitley Bay on Friday.
