So whether you are a small business, school, large multi-sited company or public organisation, working with the framework can bring improved performance as well as the achievement of a recognised quality mark.

Investors in People provides a baseline of good management practice, which can be used by organisations to help with planning, enhance employee engagement, improve management effectiveness and also evaluate what is working and what needs further improvement.

Is there a lot of paperwork involved?

No, not at all. Sometimes Investors in People is wrongly referred to “Investors in Paper”. Investors in People is a prescriptive process. It is not a tick box approach or a paper collecting exercise – it is about ensuring that everyone has the right knowledge, skills and attitude to be able to deliver your organisational objectives.

How long does the Investors in People accreditation last for?

Investors in People recognition is valid for 3 years, however you may decide to be assessed against the framework more frequently in order to maintain your business performance.

What does Investors in People Bronze mean?

To become an Investor in People, you will need to meet all 39 evidence requirements of the Standard. However, you also have the opportunity to work with the wider framework to further support your organisational priorities and objectives – helping you to explore up to an additional 157 evidence requirements to improve performance. If you meet more evidence requirements than the Standard, you may be eligible for an additional recognition of Bronze, Silver or Gold.
