Member News: Fox Head Wraps Up for European Tour

As the most recognised and best selling brand of motocross and other extreme sport apparel in the World, Fox Head has commissioned Signs Express to provide a dramatic look for its promotional trailer and state of the art motor-home; used in its various sponsorship and marketing opportunities around Europe.

Thought to be the one of the largest matt vehicle wraps ever commissioned,Signs Express Newcastle were delighted to be involved in the project which used over 90 metres of 3M 85 series matt black vinyl which was then overlaid with the striking and iconic white Fox Head logo.

Fox Head European operations are handled from their base in Newcastle which is where the motor-home and trailer have been fitted with graphics and internal modifications before heading onto its first event in France in June.

Russell Hollamby,Signs Express Newcastle centre owner said, “This is a fantastic project to be involved in. My skilled sign makers have completed vehicle wraps for previous customers on this scale but not in matt vinyl. The resulting effect is very dramatic and stealth like, perfectly fitting in with Fox Head corporate identity. They will be very clearly identifiable at large events and I am sure will attract a lot of attention.”

Fox has built its business by developing clothing for the high intensity, physically demanding motorsport of motocross and has since moved into other extreme sports including BMX, wake boarding and surfing; building up a recognisable range of clothing, eyewear and footwear using its renowned branding.

Brode Vosloo, European Marketing Manager from Fox Head Europe said, “I must admit, I had my doubts when commissioning this vehicle wrap. I knew the overall matt black look we were wanting would look killer, but I also knew that to achieve this, there could be no blemishes, bubbles or misalignments in the wrapping and I was concerned about whether this could be achieved.Signs Express rose to the occasion and tackled this wrap brilliantly. I couldn’t have asked for a better result – so good in fact, it looks like we had the vehicle sprayed with matt primer in a hot rod shop in SoCal… this is the exact look we wanted for our new mobile billboard. Thank you.”

Signs Express Newcastle operates from custom designed production premises with climate controlled vehicle graphics application bay and specialised equipment able to fulfil both large and small signage requirements. Using only the best materials,Signs Express specified the 3M car wrap film for its excellent application ability.
