Signage firm scale up to new premises

Signage specialists Jonsigns Ltd are set to upscale to a larger factory in Gateshead later this month following continued month on month growth.

The move will place Jonsigns in a newly refurbished 16,500 sq ft factory in the heart of Gateshead, which is designed to allow for further expansion.

The company has also expressed plans to bolster their position within the market through new additions to the workforce.

Managing Director, Jonathan Cawthorn, has developed the business since 1996, originally starting out in a small office in Blaydon producing graphics for vehicles.

Since then Jonsigns has moved from strength to strength, particularly due to increased demand from retail customers.

Jonathan stated that the company ethos is to manufacture locally with a centrally controlled, single point of contact for customers.

He said: “Our quality control and production teams work closely with each department to ensure the highest quality.

“This solution has attracted significant interest from a number of organisations as it minimises logistics.

“Local client operatives deal with local manufacturers, eliminating any warranty issues - and tangible after sales care solutions can also be offered.”

Jonsigns have previously produced signs for the likes of Royal Quays Shopping Centre, Clinton Cards and nationally for 99p stores.
