Rob Mathieson, MD at AYO Media talks challenges, achievements and focuses
AYO Media helps businesses to take their products and services online.
Managing Director Rob Mathieson answers bdaily’s questions:
What key challenges has your company recently faced?
Managing growth in this tough economic climate has certainly been a key challenge. Identifying the right quality of staff to deal with increasingly complex solutions for client projects has also been a challenge.
What is your biggest achievement over the past 12 months?
Being selected as the chosen supplier for a number of high-profile corporate businesses has been our major achievement over the past year. This has resulted in more staff, an agreement to move to bigger offices in the North East and plans to also another office elsewhere in the UK by the end of the year.
What is your biggest focus for the coming year?
With new offices and more staff, our biggest focus will be managing the expansion of the business. Identifying longer term contracts will play a key role in ensuring the robust stability of the business. Also, we have a major product development project for our pipeline management software product Salestorm that has the potential to be huge.

Can you share with us your view of the current landscape of business, in this region or generally and where your organisation sits within it?
There are currently a huge number of digital agencies within the North East, however AYO Media has forced itself into the top three by delivering outstanding products where users can see the return on investment, which is very important in the current economic climate.
