Double celebration for young design agency
A fledgling branding and design agency in Gateshead has picked up both a gold and silver award at a top creative industry event – only 8 months into its first year of business.
Glad Creative received a gold award for their poster designs for the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, and gained a silver award for their logo created for a Nottingham jazz band, at the Fresh Creative Awards held at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.
David Burdon is the Northumbria University graduate behind Glad, is especially pleased by the success of his company, which he set up in February of this year
David said: “We’re thrilled to have had a lot of success at the awards in our first year.
“This really helps to put our agency in the spotlight and inspire confidence in existing and prospective clients.”
Named “The Fresh Face of Design” at the 2010 Fresh Awards, David set up Glad with the intention of establishing a highly creative and successful consultancy in the region.
The company offer services in branding, print design, web design and advertising to the likes of Tesco Home, V&A, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the DA Partnership.
Glad have also had a wealth of success through other awards, including the Scottish Design Awards, Fresh Awards, Cream Awards and the Roses Awards, where they have been nominated for the title of “Design Agency of the Year.”
