Member News: Northallerton-based hotel and restaurant The Village Inn launches their new website

The small village of Brompton, Northallerton saw the re-opening of a hotel, restauarant and bar – The Village Inn – this summer. The Inn which boasts 11 rooms as well as two function rooms, dining area and bar, is the brainchild of the Price family who saw an opportunity to take advantage of a premise which had been shut for 4 years.

The family – Dorothy and Dennis Price, together with Donna and John Price have taken responsibility for a different area of the business, working as a team to turnaround the business into a modern and charming place to stay.

When laying down the foundations for the Inn, Dorothy Price contacted Colin Harris Website Development, having previously worked with Colin at regional law firm BHP Law. The company developed the sites and Content Management System for BHP Law over a period of 8 years, so Dorothy was able to draw on the company’s experience.

“We were delighted to gain the business for The Village Inn – the Inn has a lot to offer customers and it was an interesting challenge finding room on a site design for all they have to offer. Not many tourism businesses offer the range of services they do – from coffee and a sandwich to Wi-Fi enabled modern hotel rooms.” says Colin Harris, owner of Colin Harris Website Development.

“As with any new business the Price family had many challenges to overcome and we worked with them with the flexibility you need with projects of this nature. Clients don’t always have the next piece of copy handy when they waiting for roofs to be fitted or plumbing to be installed.”

The Village Inn also wished to make the most of what the Internet has to offer. They have set up a Facebook page to keep regular visitors in touch with their latest offers and the site allows visitors to book hotel rooms online and enquire about their function rooms. A gallery showcasing their rooms, bar and food was also added to entice potential visitors to the Inn.
