Tees Valley set to receive £5.6 million funding boost
The Tees Valley is set to receive a Government grant of £5.6 million to support local infrastructure projects in the area.
The funds for the Growing Place scheme were allocated through the Local Enterprise Partnerships. The money will now support sustainable projects that will generate further reinvestment in the future.
Linda Edworthy, director of policy and strategy at Tees Valley Unlimited believes that the significant cash injection will help to realize several projects currently under discussion.
She commented “ Establishing successful infrastructure is key to unlocking strong economic growth – it attracts private investment, opens up new markets and creates further job opportunities for people in the area.
“TVU will continue to work with our partners to prioritize the projects and investment activity that will most constructively drive this funding forward.”
