UK’s first Halal beauty shop flourishes in Birmingham
The UK’s first Halal beauty store, founded by a young entrepreneur, has seen business boom since opening just a year ago.
Pure Halal Beauty in Birmingham’s Pavilions Shopping Centre, was started by 20-year-old Rose Brown.
The unique venture offers customers Halal certified and vegan registered beauty products, catering towards the city’s large muslim population.
Since opening, Rose has created her own range of products, ‘The PHB Collection,’ which features 80 cosmetic and skincare products that are hand-made in the UK, using natural ingredients and eco-friendly packaging.
She said: “People have been really positive. I have had support and encouragement from around the country from people who are so happy to have found us.
“Muslims, vegans and vegetarians love our products because they don’t conflict with their personal and religious beliefs.
“Our products also appeal to the conscious consumer who’s looking for chemical-free beauty products.
“People who want to use natural, ethical and beneficial beauty products are always so pleased with our phenomenal range as well as our extremely affordable prices.”
In a partnership with City College Birmingham, PHB have begun to offer apprenticeships to young students.
