Europe-wide competition launched for young entrepreneurs
Entries are now being accepted for the tenth annual Innovact Campus Awards, challenging Europe’s most innovative students, young researchers and entrepreneurs to demonstrate their creativity.
The European-wide competition takes place at the European Forum for Innovative Start-ups, organised by the Chambers of Commerce in Reims, France.
Supported by the European Commission, the competition is open to all students and young researchers, whether their project is part of their training or not.
The winner will receive extensive help in kick-starting their fledgling business, visibility across Europe, expert advice and a financial reward of up to 5000 euros.
A judging panel, made up of European professionals including business leaders, journalists and scientists will reward the candidates who have demonstrated innovation and imagination in their creative process.
Finalists will be invited to attend the 16th edition of Innovact, the European Forum for Innovative Start-ups on March 27 and 28, in Reims.
Here, they will have the opportunity to present their plans to more than 1,500 professional participants from 20 countries, and share experience with companies.
Judges at the forum will take into account each project’s audacity, professionalism, creativity and sustainabilty.
Last year’s winner was STERY-HAND, a product designed to sterilise surgeon’s hands before entering the operating room.
Applications must be submitted, individually or in teams, before February 20, 2012.
