Kwik Fit man to advise North East entrepreneurs
One of the UK’s most successful businessmen will visit the North East later this month, to give advice to the region’s entrepreneurs.
Sir Tom Farmer, the founder of car repair chain Kwik Fit, will host a seminar on Tuesday January 31, telling his own story of success and giving advice on everything from innovation to customer service.
Attendees will get the chance to talk to Sir Tom in person, receiving first-hand advice based on his 45-years in business.
The event will take place at the Yours Business Networks Gateshead business hub at Delta Bank Road, Metro Riverside Park, which is owned by Morston Assets, a company which Sir Tom also joint founded.
A live stream will allow viewers to participate at other Yours Business Network sites in King’s Lynn and Nantwhich to the University of East Anglia and UEA London.
Jackie Ridley, centre manager at Yours Business Networks Gateshead, said: “It’s a great coup for us to bring someone of Sir Tom Farmer’s calibre to the North East and for business people in the region to be able to benefit from his expertise and experience.
“We hope that would-be entrepreneurs from all business backgrounds will come along and see what he has to say, and also see the technology we have in place which allows us to share this experience with our other sites around the country.”
The event runs from noon until 2pm, and tickets are priced at £10 each, and include a light lunch.
