Leeds City Region tackle next stage of RGF

Leeds City Region is urging businesses to apply for the third round of the Regional Growth Fund.

An extra £1bn is available nationally to businesses looking to instigate growth and create new jobs.

The LEP will be offering endorsement of projects that reflect the city region’s economic priorities.

Neil McLean, Chair of the Leeds City Region LEP, said: “The Leeds City Region economy has already benefited from significant RGF funding including £3.3 million for the Partnership’s package of nine advanced manufacturing businesses, which were seeking funding of less than £1 million grant threshold.

“As with previous rounds we are offering help and support to city region businesses that wish to put their proposals forward for funding and I would like to invite businesses to come forward with their proposals as soon as possible.”

In order to help smaller business, the LEP will pull together packages of projects that do not meet the minimum £1m threshold, where a relationship is clear across key themes including advanced manufacturing, health, green jobs and creative and digital industries.

In rounds one and two of the Growth Fund, Leeds City Region benefited from around £60m of funding.
