50 re-employed at McNulty Group
Administrators at McNulty Group Holdings have confirmed the re-employment of 50 people at McNulty Offshore Construction.
McNulty is an offshore oil and gas contractor, providing construction engineering, pipe and structural fabrication and project management services.
The firm had suffered the impact of the economic downturn on the supply chain for large capital expenditure projects and 100 jobs were lost at the South Shields site.
Joint administrator and KPMG’s Northern Head of Restructuring, Mark Firmin, said: “We are pleased to have reached an agreement with one of the business’ major customers which sees McNulty Offshore Construction continue to work on a key contract.”
The administrators are continuing to talk with other customers about the fulfilment of contracts, as well as marketing the business for sale.
