Last chance ‘DEAL’- final ‘Get Mentoring’ workshops
Over April and May, DEAL Group will be running additional workshops under the ‘Get Mentoring’ initiative. A limited number of workshops will be scheduled for those who are keen to become mentors or develop their mentoring skills.
In order to guarantee a place at one of the free workshops (dates & venue to be confirmed), participants must register their interest before 31st March 2012 by emailing karen@deal-group.com Those who do not register their interest will not be eligible to attend.
The ‘Get Mentoring’ initiative aims to train those who work with, in and for small businesses to become business mentors. These final free introductory workshops will introduce you to a range of mentoring skills and give you the tools to become an effective mentor. Those who complete the training receive a year’s free membership to the IOEE (Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs), a SFEDI Certificate of Recognition and are allowed to deliver mentoring to any type of micro, small and medium sized business.
The ‘Get Mentoring’ workshops involve working with 10 to 20 other business people for 3 to 4 hours on the basic tools and techniques of enterprise mentoring. It will explore skills such as listening, questioning, action planning & goal setting, supportive challenge, feedback, building rapport and critical reflection.
To access a range of more sophisticated tools and techniques to become increasingly effective, DEAL also offer a progression route to national qualifications (see http://www.deal-group.com/services/learning-training-and-development).
