UK Green Investments seeking fund managers
The Department for Business, Innovation & Skills’ UK Green Investments team is looking for experienced fund managers to run investment accounts of up to £100m to invest in the green economy.
The Government run accounts will be used to invest in the non-domestic energy efficiency infrastructure sector.
Expressions of interest are being welcomed for the roles which will involve sourcing a pipeline of projects across the full range of energy efficiency projects, including building retro fit, urban infrastructure and industrial energy efficiency.
Their work will be fundamental to the success of the Government’s commitment to achieving the transition to a green economy, and the delivery of long-term sustainable growth.
In December 2011, UKGI started the process of looking for fund managers to invest in waste infrastructure projects ahead of the establishment of the Green Investment Bank.
