TAG Energy Solutions recognised for safety commitments
A Billingham-based manufacturer have been rewarded for their commitment to workplace safety at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Awards 2012.
TAG Energy Solutions, which specialises in the manufacture of monopile foundations, substructures and jackets, was presented with the Gold Award in recognition of the firms’ outstanding commitment to accident and ill health prevention.
Since TAG completed its new £20 million production facility on the River Tees, the firm has implemented a number of procedures to ensure safety in the workplace.
Alex Dawson, Chief Executive of TAG Energy Solutions said: “To have your efforts to create a safe working environment recognised by RoSPA is a huge honour.
“The Health and Safety of our staff, visiting customers and contractors to TAG Energy Solutions is paramount and receiving this award reflects our commitment to meeting and exceeding safety regulations.”
TAG Energy Solutions 6,920 square metre production facility includes fully-automated system rolls, and the capacity to weld large diameter tubulars for the offshore energy industries. It also has the capacity to deliver up to 100,000 te of steel monopiles per annum.
