DWF completes Midlands merger

DWF has completed a merger with Midlands based Buller Jeffries, in a move which will bolster their combined presence in the regions’ insurance law market.

After serving the Birmingham and Coventry areas for the past 140 years, Buller Jeffries have developed a strong reputation for defendant personal injury and specialist cases with strategic, sensitive or reputational issues.

Andrew Leaitherland, managing partner at DWF, commented: “The key driver for any merger that we undertake is ultimately the benefits that it will deliver for our client base.

“Within both firms we have talented and highly experienced partners who have an established reputation for managing some extremely high profile cases within the market.

“The combined business therefore provides us with the opportunity to enhance our offering, both in terms of niche legal expertise and also in terms of geographical spread.”

Buller Jeffries also have a private client and commercial property team, and it is hoped the the merger will also strengthen DWF’s offering across these key sectors.

DWF now views the Midlands as a key growth platform in the coming years, and the merger will now make the most of both firms expertise, offering specialist advice in commercial, insurance, asset finance and private client law.
