Ward Hadaway to sponsor Liverpool Sound City
A Northern Law Firm have announced that they are set to sponsor one of the UK’s biggest music festivals and conferences.
For the second year running, Ward Hadaway are to be the official entertainment law firm for Liverpool Sound City 2012.
The event, which is now in its fifth year, is a showcase of live performances, conference events, exhibitions and panel discussions, and is highly regarded within the music, creative and digital industries in both the UK and internationally.
Earlier in the year, the organisers of Sound City concluded a deal for an investment from Indigenious Entertainment VCTs, which has previously invested in the Creamfields dance festival. Ward Hadaway advised on the deal, further cementing their relationship.
Laura Harper, Partner and Head of the firm’s award-winning Creative Industries team at Ward Hadaway, says the event is the ideal showcase for Ward Hadaway’s services to music, digital and creative enterprises.
Laura said: “Liverpool Sound City 2011 was a huge success for us, both in terms of raising the profile of Ward Hadaway within the music and digital industries and also in demonstrating to a wide range of music professionals exactly how high quality, accessible legal advice can really pay dividends.
“As a result, there was no hesitation on our part when it came to the opportunity to be the Official Entertainment Law Firm for Liverpool Sound City 2012.
“The event has continued to grow exponentially in terms of the areas which it covers and the influence which it has on digital, creative and music businesses in the UK and abroad.”
Alongside over 450 live bands from 23 different countries at 30 venues across the city, Liverpool Sound City 2012 will also see thousands of delegates attend three days of music and digital business conference events, including the first Sound City Expo - a trade fair showcasing hardware, digital technology and a range of businesses from all over the world. Over £5 million worth of business is expected to be generated by the event.
