Ward Hadaway to partner creative festival
Ward Hadaway are set to partner one of the UK’s most innovative art, music and technology festivals in Manchester.
The firm has been named as an Official Partner for the Future Everything festival which celebrates the best talent in the media industry from around the world. The event will take place between May 16 and May 19 at 11 venues across the city, and will combine a festival, conference and awards ceremony.
The FutureEverything conference, which takes place at the Museum of Science and Industry, gathers 500 opinion formers, futurologists, researchers, artists, technologists and scientists to explore the latest issues affecting today’s digital culture.
The FutureEverything Award is a major international award for artworks, social innovations, or software and technology projects which bring the future into the present and is assessed by an international jury.
Laura Harper, Partner and Head of the award-winning Creative Industries Team at Ward Hadaway, said: “We are extremely proud to be partnering with FutureEverything 2012 and to support what continues to be one of the country’s most innovative events.
“When we were asked to support the conference we were delighted to accept not least due to the synergies between the work which Future Everything does and the services which our Creative Industries team provides: both organisations are Manchester-based with an international reach, and have been independently acknowledged for innovative work with many talented businesses and individuals in the art, music, creative and digital sectors.
“In many ways, it is a perfect fit for both parties and we are all really looking forward to what promises to be a truly fascinating four days.”
As well as attending various events at the festival and the conference, Ward Hadaway will also be getting involved with activities at FutureEverything 2012. Other organisations taking part in FutureEverything 2012 include the BBC, MediaCity UK, Manchester City FC and The Co-operative.
Drew Hemment, Founder & CEO, FutureEverything, said: “We are delighted to be working with Ward Hadaway to signpost and explore the future of the creative economy.
“We are on the cusp of huge changes and our combined expertise can help creatives and businesses to take full advantage of this opportunity and navigate the challenges they face.
“The goal is to help the creative and digital sector in Manchester and the UK become truly world leading.”
