Business witness strong customer growth
27% of SMEs in the South East have witnessed an increase in customers during the first three months of 2012.
According to the Bibby Financial Services’ Business Factors Index, this figure was up by 6% on the last quarter of 2011.
The survey also indicated that returning customer rates had also rise, to 45% from 40% during the same period last year. A quarter of businesses feel they are doing better than last year, in comparison with 18% in 2011.
Commenting on the figures, Bibby Financial Services spokesman Jon Charsley said: “Over the past 12 months we have seen a number of businesses focusing on the things they can do to help their companies perform better, such as cutting costs, managing debt, improving relationships with their suppliers and chasing up outstanding payments.
