Anesco awarded national business award
A national energy efficiency solutions firm are celebrating after being named theb est new business at a national business awards ceremony.
Anesco, who are based in Reading, work closely with homeowners, local authorities and businesses to reduce carbon emissions. In order to facilitate this the firm provides businesses with a comprehensive energy service including audits, recommendations, installations and capital funding plans.
The firm was awarded the top prize at the Best New Business awards by the judges, who said: When it comes to emission of pollutants, innovation is what we need and this is exactly what Anesco has come up with. With the UK required to cut emissions by 80 percent by 2050, business is likely to heat up quickly.“
The awards highlight the companies who are creative, innovative and bring something new to the market, whilst also looking at the future potential of each business.
Adrian Pike, CEO of Anesco, said: “We’re delighted to receive this award and it is testament to the efforts of the dedicated team we have at Anesco and our strong business model.
“We entered the market to lead it and that is exactly what we have done. By continuing to create innovative ways to get our services to market and by staying at the forefront of innovations and developments in energy efficiency across the world, we will build on these solid foundations.”
The firm now aim to hit a £100 million turnover in 2014, as demand for its services continue to rise. In the last financial year they witnessed a turnover of £21 million with pre-tax profits of close to £1 million.
The company now employ 80 people, with up to 200 contractors employed at any one time. There are also more than 60 supply chain and logistics staff.
The Best Business Awards is one of the UK’s highest profile awards, attracting a wide range of entries from across all sectors, including large international PLCs, public sector organisations and SMEs.
