Colin breaks his new starter in gently

Northumberland-based website agency Colin Harris Website Development has looked overseas to boast their website development team. Augusto Principe, 28, recently moved to the North East from his native Spain and within weeks was signed up as a PHP Developer by the company in May.

Augusto has extensive skills with a 7-year history of IT and website development projects behind him. His disciplines include systems integration, networking and of course website development, to which he holds several Cisco-accredited qualifications. These talents gave him the edge over a very competitive recruitment process.

“’Gus has been a real find for us.” says Colin Harris. “He has already helped us to develop several complex projects, from a sports website for a premier-league footballer to a traffic systems management website. He is a perfect fit for the team – he knows his stuff and is a great guy to have in the office and work with. However, he may get some ribbing from the rest of us when Euro 2012 starts.”

“I am very happy here.” says Augusto. “I am enjoying working with the team in such a productive environment and I am learning something new every day. Everyone has made me feel so welcome. I especially enjoy working on football websites as I have a real passion for the sport.”

Augusto joins the team during an active time for recruitment, with an additional developer starting in August to help with the increasing number of projects coming through the doors. Colin is also recruiting for a Sales Manager to handle the expanding number of client enquires, a role he hopes to fill in the next few weeks. “It’s a great industry to be in at the moment – people are using us because we are local, affordable and can be trusted.
