Thames Valley LEP set for parliament event
The Thames Valley Berkshire LEP has announced an event at the House of Commons to drive interest in the region.
Collaborating for Growth political launch will be jointly hosted with Home Secretary Rt Hon Theresa May MP.
Businesses in the Thames Valley region are being encouraged to register their interest, and a selection will be made to ensure the whole spectrum of businesses in the region are represented.
Steve Lamb, Chair of the TVB LEP will talk about the mission of TVB LEP, and how businesses can get involved, while Emma Gibson, director at the LEP, and Partner at Shoosmith, will talk about her involvement and what motivates her to help drive the TVB LEP economy.
Mr Lamb said: “This is a fantastic platform for the TVB LEP to communicate its core initiatives - improving transport infrastructure and widening access to superfast broadband, attracting inward investment, and developing skills and education to ensure we have the workforce we need for the 21st century.
“Thames Valley businesses have the opportunity to collaborate on Thames Valley Berkshire’s future and lend their support.
“Together we can work to maintain and grow the economic prosperity of the Thames Valley.”
Local government ministers, key stakeholders and business leaders from large and small businesses will attend the launch.
Those interested can register their interest via the TVB LEP website here. Places are limited and will be allocated by June 15.
