Grant Thornton strengthen East Midlands audit team

Grant Thornton in the East Midlands have appointed a new partner to their growing audit team.

Phil Sayers joins the Leicester office of the business advisory and accountancy firm, following 22 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Phil said joining Grant Thornton in the East Midlands from London was a straightforward decision: “From talking to clients and contacts, Grant Thornton is the firm that is on the up and going places.

“The cultural fit for me was spot on and I am very much looking forward to working with client companies and entrepreneurs that are gearing up for growth.”

Phil has extensive experience of auditing and advising mid-tier companies and has also worked on the client side through a number of secondments, including as finance director.

He added: “I will be getting out into the East Midlands market, increasing the visibility of Grant Thornton and our services and developing relationships in many business sectors.

“Business in the region is relatively fragmented, so my past experience across many sectors will be invaluable.”
