Tech Angels look for next software success
Ground Six directors Sarah Armstrong, Martin Stanley and Paul Slater.
North East technology development and investment company Ground Six are encouraging technology entrepreneurs to bring their exciting ideas forward for investment.
As well as developing their own successful products, such as the recent ‘SalesJump’ app, Ground Six are looking to invest and develop the next generation of global technology innovations.
“We are looking for inspiring entrepreneurs with great ideas, that really have the drive to be successful, and who fit in with our ethos of generosity,” says joint-director Sarah Armstrong.
She adds: “Traditional venture capital firms might be off-putting for many people who think they are not ready to face a formal pitch.
“A different approach is needed for many tech businesses, and Ground Six are a team with business strategy and technical expertise, so immediately we can offer real support to ideas.
“While we hope to develop and nurture ideas in order to flourish, we will also make sure we direct entrepreneurs to other investors, if we feel they are not quite right for us.”
The team use a ‘lean methodology’ approach in order to develop ideas into a viable prototype in as shorter time frame as possible.
Doing so, Sarah says, allows a product to be brought to market so that demand and reception can be gauged.
The firm are keen to work with ideas across a range of stages, and stress that building a working prototype is part of the process that Ground Six goes through with the entrepreneurs.
Ideas must have a commercial potential, with a global relevance, although the team are happy to explore concepts from business through to leisure.
Those interested in putting their ideas forward should first visit the Ground Six ideas page here, where they can submit their model and read into Ground Six’s core values.
The team are also keen for people to get in touch direct and are actively encouraging people to give them a call to talk through their ideas.
