Exceptional wine needn’t be exceptionally priced
Premium Cellars is a new distributor of quality wines from specialist vineyards in some of the world’s best kept, secret locations.
Based in the north east of England, this fledgling company has negotiated contracts with small and expert producers, more concerned about the merit of their creations than the rampant, fast buck outlook of the more populist growers.
As a result, wine lovers can expect to purchase wines of outstanding distinction at a realistic price.
Concentrating initially on the country of Georgia, the company has identified such product, produced in an area which grew and created wine a thousand years before the Roman Empire came into existence. It’s an area gaining rapid reputation for exquisite product to rival any other region of the world.
Managing Director Paul Crulley has a particular interest in wine and its origins, “When my partner, Bob Ashton and I, decided on this venture, we wanted to give to the public something different and with undeniable calibre; the Georgian discovery allowed us to do just that. I was often disappointed with wine of inordinate price which frankly was disappointing to the palate, so this venture is an effort to provide great wine at a cost which isn’t exorbitant.”
Premium Cellars are embarking on a campaign of specialist tasting evenings at individual’s homes. They can provide a socially pleasing event in which relatives, friends and business colleagues can taste the wines on offer in a relaxed environment with no retail pressure. There will also be periodic social events in the community to expand the message further.
Via the company’s comprehensive website, customers can order their favourite vintages but it’s vitally important to attend a tasting evening as, no matter how good the internet is, you still can’t taste a wine over it.
“Initially we are rolling this out in the north east but the plan is to introduce our service, city by city, throughout the UK. The type of organisation we’re building up allows us to do that perfectly, keeping costs down and allowing rapid familiarity with the wines on offer to be achieved,” comments Paul.
The days of expensive but disappointing wine may be rapidly coming to an end. Premium Cellars are working hard to ensure they are.
