P&A Group strengthen position in Ireland
Yorkshire based P&A Group have announced that they are to open an office in Dublin, in a bid to strengthen their position in the Irish market.
The group, who deal with turnaround and insolvency issues, have been working in Ireland for over a decade but decided that the introduction of Individual Voluntary Agreements was an opportune moment to expand into the Irish market.
An Individual Voluntary Agreement is a formal agreement between an you and a creditor which allows you to make reduced payments towards the total amount of any unsecured debt that you may have.
It is believed that P&A group will be able to use their years of experience to enable them to have a strong presence which will help Dublin’s businesses. Jason Sheehy, formally of audit, accounting and business services firm BDO Ireland has been appointed as managing partner and will head up the new office.
P&A Group dates back to 1885 when an accountancy practice was set up by George Poppleton and Charles Appleby which specialiesed in insolvency. Today, the business whose headquarters are in Sheffield has offices in Leeds, London, Glasgow and York.
