Accor Hotels to create 3,500 jobs
Accor Hotels are set to expand its training scheme, in a move which could create up to 3,500 UK jobs by 2013.5.
The chain, which also runs Sofitel, Novotel and ibis, plans to spend £5 million on its training schemes, which will be run through a new professional training centre, launched in partnership with learning provider Babcock.
Accor have also pledged to strengthen its commitment to supporting future and existing employees across its network of 185 UK hotels.
Accor UK and Ireland managing director Thomas Dubaere said: “Now more than ever, finding and developing talent is vital to achieving our ambitious growth strategy. This is why we are making this significant investment.
The chain controls more than 20% of the European and American hotel markets, employing more than 180,000 employees in 4,400 hotels.
