Business ‘Knockout’ event raises funds for Percy Hedley
Bdaily joined forces with Asian Business Connexions to take part in It’s a Knockout Business Games 2012 yesterday.
Ten teams met on a rainy afternoon to raise much needed funds for the Percy Hedley Foundation. All participants successfully raised £10,000 from the games, resulting in helping to transform the lives of disabled children, young people and adults in the North East and beyond. This year the funds raised will go towards a new hydrotherapy pool. This will give disabled children, young people and adults the opportunity for water based therapy, swimming, and exercise, and to have fun in a multi-sensory environment – meeting their own Olympic challenge.
The event was a classic ‘It’s a Knock Out’ styled event with an Olympic theme and with all the giant colourful inflatable, backdrops, obstacles and copious amounts of water and foam. And my goodness we all got wet through, but had so much fun throughout the evening.
