Hyde Brewery moves from Manchester
Manchester’s Hydes Brewery are to relocate to Salford following 100 years in Moss Side
Drivers Jonas Deloitte and Jones Lang LaSalle have been instructed by Hydes Brewery on the sale of Queens Brewery on Moss Lane West.
The businesses is set to move to a new site at Kansas Avenue in Salford, advised by law firm Cobbetts LLP.
Hannah Thorne, Assistant Director at DriversJonas Deloitte said: “This is a fantastic site that presents developers with a plethora of opportunities.
“It is characterised by a Grade II listed building and extends to approximately 2.62 acres. Subject to planning, it is suitable for a number of different uses.”
Philip Moran, associate at Cobbetts LLP commented: “This is a major move for Hydes Brewery. The new Salford site will allow the company to reposition its brewing business and expand its cask beer range.
“It offers many benefits including easy access to Manchester city centre and the M602 motorway, serving as a major distribution hub to the region and wider UK transport network.”
Founded in 1863, Hydes is one of the country’s few remaining family run breweries.
