North East Hotel Claims First Awards

One of the North East?s newest luxury hotels is flying high after winning its first award based on visitor reviews.

Following a host of favourable feedback the DoubleTree by Hilton Newcastle International Airport Hotel, which opened in December, has just been given a Certificate of Excellence by leading hotel review website, TripAdvisor.

The award, which honors hospitality excellence around the world, is only given to venues that consistently receive outstanding customer feedback and was presented to the DoubleTree by Hilton Newcastle International Airport hotel in recognition of its ?exceptional? average rating of four and a half out of a possible five points, with many visitors awarding the hotel the maximum five.

The £3m venue, owned and operated by the North East based Cairn Group, is now among a select group of hotels to receive this prestigious accolade, with only 10 per cent of the thousands of accommodations listed on TripAdvisor achieving the honor.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Newcastle International Airport, just yards from the airport terminal, was specifically designed to cater for the wide range of business and leisure travellers utilising the airport, with a selection of hi-tech meeting rooms, a large function suite and stylish Italian restaurant and bar also offering opportunities to make the most of the venue for those living nearby.

Members of the public who have already visited the hotel and posted reviews on TripAdvisor praise many aspects of the venue, including its location, the contemporary en-suite bedrooms which are soundproofed for maximum comfort, its 24-hour room service, free car parking and the helpfulness of its highly trained staff.
