NE Money launch new support service

An award winning financial adviser is marking the fourth birthday of his business by launching a support service to assist North East businesses with the financial challenges they face in light of the workplace pension reforms due to come in to force in October this year.

Simon Davis, 33, Practice Principal at independent financial advisers NE Money recognised that employers in the region are going to have significant financial challenges to deal with this year and in response, has launched Planning for Pensions, an online information resource which will be accompanied by a series of free business briefings delivered by Simon and the NE Money team across the region starting in Newcastle next month.

The online resource [www.planningforpensions.com](http://www.planningforpensions.com“ target=) provides up to date information on the changes, responsibilities and duties of employers in line with the Pension Reform Act 2008 and the local events will see businesses and advisers invited to find out more with a comprehensive Q&A session. The first event will feature an update on the UK economic climate from James Mason, Deputy Agent for Bank of England North East.

Simon commented “business owners are largely unaware of the changes they face this year and going forward. As advisers to businesses we must do everything we can to make the relevant information as accessible as possible. Our focus for the future of NE Money is to ensure business owners are well informed to ensure the long term financial stability of their companies and as an established firm of independent advisers we are well positioned to do this.”

NE Money was formed in 2008 by Simon Davis and his co director, David Wilson, both of whom have significant retail and business banking experience with two high street banking groups. The company now boasts a team of ten advisers and support staff from their head office in North Tyneside.

The first business briefing is being held at As You Like It, Jesmond on Thursday 5th July at 4pm.
