Using entrepreneurship to overcome unemployment

An outsourced sales company has said entrepreneurship could overcome unemployment after a dramatic increase in self-employment in the last quarter.

In the last quarter, the number of self-employed people in the UK reached a total of 4.2 million
with over 600,000 self employed entrepreneurs in London. It is also reported that there has been a rise in the average income for self-employed individuals with earnings in the first two months of 2012 increasing by 63% compared to 2011.

London based EA Worldwide Acquisitions, who deal in customer acquisition and retention believe that these figures could continue to grow and that self-employment could overcome unemployment during a period of economic downturn,

Josh Cote, EA Worldwide Acquisitions managing director said: “Many have turned to self-employment to save themselves from unemployment during the recession.

“I have seen a change in how entrepreneurship is viewed by the average worker in the UK. Four years ago it was quick fix for unemployment issues whereas now it is seen as true opportunity to obtain and secure their future lifestyle.”

EA Worldwide Acquisitions believe that entrepreneurship can help with the recovery of the UK economy as well as offering individuals the chance to take control of their own futures.
