CentraStage Launches Mac OS X Agent
CentreStage, a cloud based IT management software provider, has today extended its operating system coverage by introducing support for Apple devices runnning OS X. The introduction of Mac OS X support comes in response to growing demand from IT service providers, corporate and Government customers for cross-platform support. Not only are MACs being adopted more widely by organisations who in the past have been exclusively Microsoft, but the consumerisation of IT and increased workforce mobility have seen the use of personal devices in the workplace grow exponentially - the requirement to have one IT management solution which can provide visibility and management of all IT assets is therefore becoming increasingly important for organisations of all sizes.
As a cloud-based remote monitoring and management platform, CentraStage supports hundreds of thousands of devices across a wide range of customers. The introduction of Mac OS X support delivers a range of functionality including hardware and software audit, asset reporting and remote support, with additional functionality including monitoring and software deployment being added over the coming months.
Christian Nagele, CEO of CentraStage says: “In introducing MAC support, CentraStage has moved one step closer to delivering a single, scalable, affordable solution - for anyone supporting IT - to manage all of their devices – servers, PCs, MACs, tablets, smartphones. As the IT support landscape rapidly evolves and attempts to keep pace with the dramatic evolution in how businesses consume IT, technology to discover, track, manage and maintain these devices needs to evolve also. Delivering a smart yet affordable cloud IT management solution for organisations of all sizes and budgets remains our goal at CentraStage, and now we are an option for MAC users. It is an exciting new chapter for the business, and a foretaste of the developments that will come thick and fast through the remainder of 2012.”
